The RAO AVIO is a survival knife, not a big folder but a compact field knife with a strong and heavy blade and a very safe locking system; an extra safety device that turns the folder into a real fix blade knife.

The safety device is a steel pin that can be hand screwed through two holes placed by the guard zone of the massive anticorodal aluminum alloy handle. This device is necessary when the knife is used for larger chopping tasks.

The sheath is also an essential part of the system containing a diamond sharpener. It allows the user to carry the knife in an open condition, making frequent use easier. The sheath can be hung on equipment or standard belts thanks to MOLLE system.

The improved survival kit includes: whistle, pocket chain saw, water purifying tabs, compass, copper wire, flint and fire striker, LED light, 2.5 mts paracord and diamond-plate sharpener. The kit is contained in a pocket fastened to the sheath by a MOLLE system.
