• Kamagong, also called Asian ebony or ironwood is a slow-growing tropical wood without visible annual rings (in the tropics, there are no serious seasons). Our ebony comes from the mountains where there is a harsh climate, so the wood grows very slowly and becomes very hard and heavy. It has a dark color that varies from dark green to almost black. When Kamagong, like our pieces, is carefully polished and waxed, it has a velvety glossy finish. Such a wood is then a real flatterer.
